In this triptych, I explore graphic composition through abstraction of a deceptively simple object. I chose to paint micro-details of the lampshade to create three starkly different yet related compositions. Vibrant colors shift and blend, creating contrast against a deep black background. The piece begs viewers to examine objects around them with more intention and discover engaging compositions in hiding in plain sight.
