In this work, I explore the transformation of an object into an abstract form. I was inspired by shells I gathered while walking, which I nested together to create a new layered structure. Through exaggerated colors and repetitive linework, I produce an image that is grounded in its reality yet surreal in appearance. The flowing movement and swirling lines create a visual overwhelm which leaves the viewer vacillating between recognizable material and provocative expression.
