Fur
Fur, 2025, Acrylic Paint on Canvas, 12”x12”
In this abstract piece, I explore the movement of light across a dog’s fur. A limited color palette allows me to emphasize value and expressive brushwork, capturing the energy and presence of my subject. The interplay of color and gesture guides the viewer’s eye across the canvas, ultimately drawing them into a direct, almost intense encounter with the dog’s gaze.
